Serve with us

"A life not lived for others is not a life." - St. Teresa of Calcutta

Live your life for others and encounter Jesus Christ in those you serve. Choose from one of our regular service opportunities as Titan Catholics, or talk to us about creating something new!

  • student exec Board

Our student exec board plays an essential role in the Titan Catholic community. They invite guest speakers to campus and provide hospitality for the many events happening at the Newman Center. Each year, we elect a new board, including a president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, university representative, and public relations coordinator. If you are interested in running for a position, please contact Fr. Jason Blahnik.

  • Mass & Choir

Do you enjoy reading aloud? Do you love to sing? Play a musical instrument? Consider sharing your gifts with us as we worship the Lord together. We always need lectors to read Scripture, Eucharistic ministers, choir members, altar servers, and others to assist at Mass. Please contact Fr. Jason Blahnik about opportunities to serve at Sunday or Daily Mass.

  • alternative spring break mission trip

Each spring break, Titan Catholics seek to serve Jesus Christ in the vulnerable. In the past, we've worked at A Simple House in Kansas City and with a L'Arche community in Iowa. In 2018, we will serve with the Mission of Our Lady of the Angels in Chicago. We'll depart around 3:00 pm on March 16 and return March 21. Contact us for more information or attend one of our info sessions after the 10:45 am or 7:00 pm Sunday mass on October 29.

  • focus mission trips

FOCUS, our partner ministry in serving our campus, has many great options for mission trips around the world. Talk with one of our FOCUS missionaries to find out how God could be calling you!

  • local service opportunities

Local opportunities for service also abound. Check out our event calendar for upcoming service-based events sponsored by Titan Catholics. Or, if you are looking for a place to volunteer on your own, we recommend Fr. Carr's Place 2BDay by Day Warming Shelter, St. Vincent de Paul, Christine Ann Domestic Abuse ServicesOshkosh Area Community Pantry, and the Salvation Army.
